It is led by the Czech Technical University in Prague (UCEEB), with a consortium of 12 partners from the following European countries:
Czech Republic
Greece
Poland
Romania
Latvia
Italy
Ireland
Slovenia
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Project duration: from 1 May 2025 until 30 April 2029 (36 months main phase + 12 months monitoring).
Why is this project important?
Europe’s ageing population and the growing prevalence of chronic diseases place increasing pressure on healthcare and social care services. The project aims to:
• establish a legal framework and define key functional requirements and technical standards (ergonomics, open communication, usability),
• enhance the interoperability and efficiency of ICT tools and assistive technologies,
• improve the quality of healthcare and social care services at both national and European levels.
Broader vision:
This project has the potential to transform how assistive technologies are integrated into social and healthcare services, building a sustainable and equitable system of care for all generations.
